This is a tumblelog, kinda like a blog but with short-form, mixed-media posts with stuff I like. Scroll down a bit to start reading, or a bit more to read more about me.
How much potential does this little studio in Highgate have. So sad to see such a well formed place not utilised. It could really be broken into a separate bedroom and living area. To give it that romantic feel and not loose any of the gorgeous light a sheer curtain could be used to separate the two.
I try and utilise all the space in our tiny little flat. The window shelf, although badly insulated gives a great places to store books and photos of my family. It is also beautiful at night when I light the candles and can see their reflection against the window. Although I won’t be leaving them open for too much longer - they are letting cold air in!
How gorgeous are these custom book jackets - they would spruce up any book shelf and only $45. A great gift.

How amazing are these vintage railway shelves for sale at the transport museum from March 2012. They start at £150 for the small ones and £250 for the large ones. They are from 1960’s metropolitan line trains. A great price for a piece of history. Click on the link to register your interest on their website. I have!

I love this ‘Industrial Wall Storage Unit’ (http://www.bodieandfou.com). I can imagine it in the kitchen to store everything from plates to the utensils. Perfect for a dinky little studio without much room.
I love doors. They say so much about a property, even when they are not pristine and perfect. A door is the face of a home, it can either growl at you or make you smile when you walk past it. These are some that are near my house. I particularly love the blue one with the over hang of the tree. It reminds me of all of those Enid Blyton books I read about the far away tree…….
Check out these gorgeous summer houses. This makes me want to have a studio outside where I can paint and write, but looking at the heater that I have on full blast is giving me a very different realisation.
Don’t you just love the one on the bottom left - it is made out of aluminum!
